Art & Aphorism…Or…What Feelings Might Think if they didn’t have to be reasonable
Ideas should be called after-thoughts because that’s when they happen.
Surprise is the smallest form of fear.
The truth makes us angry sometimes. It makes us scared all the time.
Politics makes refugees out of us all…from ourselves.
Our greatest social fear is that the other person will be unfamiliar.
Thinking is a mapping activity, not a controlling one.
If it’s done well, a single human life is god…at least the biggest piece of Him or Her we’ll ever get a hold of. So perhaps we should worship our own lifenot as a jealous, revengeful, sadistic little tyrant that people who presume to be god usually act like. But instead as a being who’s been given a hundred years to do whatever, and as much as they can with this wonderful gift, all the while having a front-row seat to watch how it happens. This includes the freedom to have as much influence as possible upon where it goes and what happens in itin effect to go where no mind or imagination has ever uniquely gone before.
That is if others who regard themselves as ‘significant’ to us don’t first grant themselves too many ‘rights & privileges’otherwise known as pre-installed programs making us who they want to live with…before we get a flying chance to make of our self someone whom we want to live with. Age 7 is just the beginning of a mind of our own. If these ‘significant’ others behave like the vast majority of parents, it makes them ancestral gods to be implicitly worshipped instead of our own life. And because that programming takes place before we’re age 7…we never know what hit usor what made us who we are.
